En visuell identitet för en bistro och bar som blandar helig estetik med nattlig njutning. Med rötter i symbolik och ritual förvandlar varumärket en kalk till sin centrala ikon - delvis relik, delvis toast.

Research
Inspirerat av dualiteten mellan dag och natt, heligt och profan, utforskar konceptet ritualerna i det samtida nattlivet genom det visuella språket andlighet. Vi studerade sakral arkitektur, liturgiska symboler, och rytmen i klosterlivet - omkontextualiserade dem till en hedonistisk miljö. Namnet ”By Day at Night” förkroppsligar denna spänning.
Design
The logo draws on the form of a stained-glass window. A chalice, held by a pair of hands, becomes both a religious relic and a party icon. Typography is set in SchwarzKopf Old — a bold, angular blackletter font — paired with a restrained grotesque to enhance contrast and readability. The graphic system plays with symbolism: neon halos, prayer-like inscriptions, and holy minimalism meet in a carefully curated palette of black, ivory and warm gold.
Development
The visual identity was rolled out across physical and digital touchpoints: signage, merch, menus, social media and environmental elements. Materials and textures — brick, aged metal, velvet — echo the brutal elegance of a hidden chapel. Neon signs reinterpret the logo in physical space, transforming the venue into a contemporary altar of indulgence.
